Welcome.
We have a News/Politics section here:

... and shit loads of others. Some in the serious section have been known to stay on topic, amazing, I know.
Anyway, enjoy your stay and don't feed the Zilla.

Re: hello
Hi and welcome.
In a brief nutshell...
TAF (Thinking Aloud Forum) was established when the RDnet Vets' and original (feral) off topic forums were closed.
This forum (rationalia) was established a year ago by members of TAF when we became alienated from that site.
rationalia has been a 'lifeboat' for many of the people who were recently shut out of and angered/disillusioned by the circumstances of the recent RDnet forum closure.
rationalskepticism, as I understand it, has been established as a forum for ex RDnet members to gather to reestablish their community.

funny though, the abruptness of the complete destruction of offtopic should have served as a warning for the eventual destination of the forum, oh well though, at least nineberry (and others) are trying to preserve all of the hard work put into that forum

Hi fb, and welcome!
