Just here for sanity
Just here for sanity
Hi all! I was a member of the RDF but didn't post a lot. I love to just read rational thoughts and am here to interject some sanity in my life. I live in Indianapolis, IN so I am surrounded by conservatives and creationists......kind of tough when you are a liberal atheist! I am in the process of coming "out" as I feel like it's a betrayal to myself not to speak up and defend my position. Keeping my mouth shut is no longer working for me!
Glad to have found this forum!

Re: Just here for sanity
Hi aprilmae, and a big welcome from way down south (Australia)!
Although it may look like a forum, this site is actually a crowd-sourced science project modelling the slow but inexorable heat death of the universe.
Re: Just here for sanity
I would claim sanity (but the others would laugh )

Hello and welcome!
There's a kind of sanity to be found in the insanity here... or so the other inmates keep telling me...

Greetings Circle Cityzen! Do you leave the city during the last weekend in May like I used to?aprilmae wrote:Hi all! I was a member of the RDF but didn't post a lot. BTW, folks, the Eiteljorg Museum almost makes up for the rest of Indianapolis.

I did find that they didn't have nearly enough kids on display at the Children's Museum. Badly misnamed, that.

Sanity?!
Wrong place for that but there are far more valuable things in life. Welcome!

No, I just stay at home on race weekend! I agree, the Eiteljorg is great. The Indianapolis Museum of Art is not bad either. Overall, Indy is not the WORST place I could be.Gawdzilla wrote:Greetings Circle Cityzen! Do you leave the city during the last weekend in May like I used to?

Re: Just here for sanity
And considering you have to go a hundred miles or more to get to the next city of any size it's kind of a sole option. (I spent Race Weekend in Brown County most years.)aprilmae wrote:No, I just stay at home on race weekend! I agree, the Eiteljorg is great. The Indianapolis Museum of Art is not bad either. Re: Just here for sanity
Welcome. I'm afraid the sanity here is entirely homeopathic. Some insist it still exists and has a potent effect, but I have my doubts....
