Apparently nobody has found the cards I left in Barnes & Noble yet.
What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."

I was walking down the street reading a copy of The Watchtower - just handed to me by a nice American gentleman in a suit - when a van pulled up and several 'heavies' wearing Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens masks jumped out, handcuffed me, put a sack over my head and bundled me inside.
It's all a bit blurry after that - I think they must have chloroformed me, or something...
When I regained my senses somewhat, I saw that I was in a wondrous forum surrounded by beautiful, semi-clad and naked women dancing to the dulcet tones of Ozric Tentacles etc. and sages offering mystical insight along with promises of more Jaffa cakes, cheese and bacon than I could possibly wish for.
The rest, as they say, is hysteria...

“I wish no harm to any human being, but I, as one man, am going to exercise my freedom of speech. No human being on the face of the earth, no government is going to take from me my right to speak, my right to protest against wrong, my right to do everything that is for the benefit of mankind. I am not here, then, as the accused; I am here as the accuser of capitalism dripping with blood from head to foot.”
