Invited Layla Nasreddin, she replied and said she'd check it out.
Is there for honest poverty
That hangs his heid and a' that
The coward slave, we pass him by
We dare be puir for a' that.

This is probably a silly question, but have we in fact sent anything to Richard Dawkins? I know it's a VERY long shot, but a quick note to say "this is where we went." Most likely won't care, but it's worth a shot?

(a) I think it's already been mentioned in this thread, albeit in jest (at least I hope it was in jest).

(b) Very long shot shot? It would make the longest of long shots look like a .... struggles for something worthy of Blackadder here. :lay:

The world is a thing of utter inordinate complexity and richness and strangeness that is absolutely awesome. I mean the idea that such complexity can arise not only out of such simplicity, but probably absolutely out of nothing, is the most fabulous extraordinary idea. And once you get some kind of inkling of how that might have happened, it's just wonderful. And . . . the opportunity to spend 70 or 80 years of your life in such a universe is time well spent as far as I am concerned.

I wouldn't want Richard Dawkins here, his rep would be just as liable here as it is on his own site and so he'd probably just be dull as fuck because of it. Not to mention he'd have people *cough* LordP *cough* pining after him whenever he does drawl something out. Besides. he barely has time for his own forum.

There's still hope, with the new improved "fuckwittedness" Richard Dawkins:

The first use of the word "mendacious/mendacity" would give him away though, assuming he could stop cursing a blue streak for long enough to use some highbrow language. :coffee:

Cali's posts would be even more recognisable, usually beginning with the words "Let's take a look at this, shall we?", before unleashing a torrent of uncommonly well researched and argued evidence that obviously took about 100 open browsers tabs*, a zillion online science journals, and about nine hours solid to type**.

*That is not an exaggeration BTW.
