Still miss it. I envy you.
Pssst... I assume you saw the name of his blog...

Yep - anything in particular you thought I should note there?

I lived out that way too, as a kid. At Kowloon Tsai. With a view over Kai Tak airport from our front verandah and Lion Rock from the back. I was only 6 when we left but I would love to go back one day.
You wouldn't recognize it. One of the things I love about HK is that it's always changing. When I first came here in 1974 it was still very much a third world city, with huge squatter settlements. They're long gone.

You might find my essay "Chinese Whispers" about Hong Kong entertaining.
Anyway, I'm off for yam char now. A mere 15-minute walk across the fields. I'll be back later.

lo, Lo. nice to meet you
Outside the ordered universe is that amorphous blight of nethermost confusion which blasphemes and bubbles at the center of all infinity—the boundless daemon sultan Azathoth, whose name no lips dare speak aloud, and who gnaws hungrily in inconceivable, unlighted chambers beyond time and space amidst the muffled, maddening beating of vile drums and the thin monotonous whine of accursed flutes.

WHAT!? Le bacon is a criminal offence in Korea!? I thought you were living in South Korea, not North

Why is it whenever I read those words I get a picture of two dwarf feet sticking out of a roll of cigarette papers?
