You're Mandy, a female I presume, and you have willingly subscribed to one of the most unpleasant misogynistic dogmas on the planet.

Welcome. :oj: (it's orange juice)

As you're here, I would strongly recommend your reading some of the erudite posts made by the many contributors here. You'll get a variety of truths from people, ex-Muslims, former Christians inter alia, and you will see why they have abandoned their particular brand of silliness. I urge you to read these and re-open your recently-closed mind.

One thing I'm curious about. How long have you been a Muslim? If you have only converted fairly recently, and by that I mean in the last few years, then how do you know that being a Muslim will make you happy for a long time? I'm also curious how much you actually know about Islam since many western converts don't appear to know much before converting. They often become apostates after a few years once it all starts really sinking in.
i am happy since i converted 2 years ago, and so far, islam has not let me down. i am still learning things about islam. its a vast religion and Allah is infinite in knowlegde. we learn new things all the time.

So what were you before converting to islam, Mandy? Have you just replaced one religion with another? And if so, why?

Pork isn't poison
Outside the ordered universe is that amorphous blight of nethermost confusion which blasphemes and bubbles at the center of all infinity—the boundless daemon sultan Azathoth, whose name no lips dare speak aloud, and who gnaws hungrily in inconceivable, unlighted chambers beyond time and space amidst the muffled, maddening beating of vile drums and the thin monotonous whine of accursed flutes.

Isn't Muslim a kind of cheesecloth?

Welcome Mandy. I too believe in cheese (and cloth) as both make me very happy.

Facts are by their very nature against belief. If you have facts, you don't need belief. I'd recommend you spend more time learning facts and less time with belief. For example, it's a fact that there are a number of very old books with very old stories about invisible, all-powerful sky-daddies who will send you to eternal torment if you tie your shoes wrong, but who oddly enough, love you. It's not a fact that any of those old stories have and evidence to support them. There's a great deal of reason to suspect that those competing stories were made up by unscrupulous leaders in order to maintain political power over their naive, illiterate and gullible sheeple.

Nobody can keep you from being naive and gullible and choosing a comforting fantasy over reality. If that's what you want to do, do it. :td:
"A philosopher is a blind man in a dark room looking for a black cat that isn't there. A theologian is the man who finds it." ~ H. L. Mencken

"We ain't a sharp species. We kill each other over arguments about what happens when you die, then fail to see the fucking irony in that."

"It is useless for the sheep to pass resolutions in favor of vegetarianism while the wolf remains of a different opinion."
