Aussie Catholics bracing for first Aussie saint

Post by Faithfree » Sun Dec 13, 2009 12:50 pm

It's all over the news here - Catholics are on tenterhooks - it's anticipated that Pope Benny is about to finally acquiesce to the bleating of Aussie Catholics and give them their own home-grown saint. Presumably it is quicker and takes less energy to telepath prays to a local saint, than those busy foreign ones.

So which 2 'miracles' are attributed to him?

I think Pappa cleared that one up in another thread some time age - I'll see if I can find it.

Um, "her". Apparently she's accused of curing a woman of cancer in the 60s, fifth-something years after her own death. Talk about a long bow. Not sure what the other one was. Maybe there was only one "confirmed", which is why the decision is up to Benny's discretion.
