Let me try. The significance of this eclipse is that it presages the making of another B-grade film about earth being invaded by extraterrestrials.superuniverse wrote:ONE MORE TIME TO SEE IF ANY OF YOU HAVE A CLUE TO THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THIS ECLIPSE....

If I got it wrong you'll have to enlighten me.

When I got back from the SHOPS today there were TWO pigeon feathers on my DOORSTEP laid across EACH other in the sign OF THE CROSS.

Two Jehovah witnesses walked past my door without knocking this morning. Am I right to take this as a sign from the one true God?

Bottom line: The sun’s diameter is about 400 times larger than that of the moon – and the sun is also about 400 times farther from Earth. So the sun and moon appear nearly the same size as seen from Earth. What are the odds?

Re: Scientific Proof Of God
'Odds' are irrelevant. What are the odds of human life arising from the chaos of the big bang, the churning of gas and matter into galaxies and and the coalescing of the solar system? And yet here we are. We are the lottery winners. If you win it doesn't matter if the odds are millions to one. You are still the winner and nobody else is. We may well be utterly freakish and unique or maybe something like us pops up now and again - I suspect rarely but who knows. To attribute that to a god simply isn't required.superuniverse wrote:Bottom line: The sun’s diameter is about 400 times larger than that of the moon – and the sun is also about 400 times farther from Earth.
