Whatever happened to the Devil?

Post by Santa_Claus » Thu Nov 17, 2011 12:37 pm

The Devil used to have a major part in Christianity - but nowadays hardly gets a mention by the "mainstream" Christianity.

Is he slowly getting written out of the script?....because it sounds silly :hehe:

They can't explain him at all it's a logical fail they have to admit he is a god with all the powers of creation or just a servant of their god .. If he is doing gods work who is EVIL ?

He won
Outside the ordered universe is that amorphous blight of nethermost confusion which blasphemes and bubbles at the center of all infinity—the boundless daemon sultan Azathoth, whose name no lips dare speak aloud, and who gnaws hungrily in inconceivable, unlighted chambers beyond time and space amidst the muffled, maddening beating of vile drums and the thin monotonous whine of accursed flutes.

He entered a woman's egg at the moment of conception in the 70s and merged with it with the intention of being born in human-form as the antichrist.
A few weeks after she had an abortion. :ddpan:

And like that - poof - he was gone.

I think I'll nick that.
What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."

WTF? Could you remind me where the devil is mentioned in the Passion thing? I remembered only the 40 days in the desert and temptation, as well as some of the exorcisms.

I think Charlou was referring to that woman who tempted him off the cross.
