The Anti-Human Sacrifice Police Task Force

Post by HomerJay » Tue Oct 11, 2011 10:41 pm

yes, they really have one.
The villages and farming communities that surround Uganda's capital, Kampala, are gripped by fear.

School children are closely watched by teachers and parents as they make their way home from school. In playgrounds and on the roadside are posters warning of the danger of abduction by witch doctors for the purpose of child sacrifice.

The ritual, which some believe brings wealth and good health, was almost unheard of in the country until around three years ago, but it has re-emerged, seemingly alongside a boom in the country's economy.

Not exactly news unfortunately, in that there have already been some horror stories in the past few years in that part of the world. IIRC, albino children can be at particular risk.

How many albino children are there? What if a kid is just really light, is s/he in danger?
Are the darkest kids safest?

So much negativity! It's a logical economic move and the correlation has already proved the causation, so this effort on the part of "certain parties" to stifle the free market and the really drivers of the society, the folks with money, is just another case of the lumpen proletariat trying to grab a free ride on the backs of the people who already have obscene amounts of money. :lay:

Cannibalism and human sacrifice was fairly common in Africa at least until the 1840s. Was common in Liberia until a few years ago. Might still be today.

Ahh, the story of General Buck Naked from Liberia. His child soldiers used to sacrifice a child and drink it's blood before battle. The used to eat the losers too.

If you ever want to learn about real African history, I recommend Negroes in Negroland. The full text is available for free, and it is a compilation of first hand accounts from African explorers.
