Re: Hitchens gets schooled.
I wonder what color the sky is on his planet?“It is well known that nearly all child molesters are raised with atheistic beliefs” (pg. 32)
“Charles Darwin first published Origin of the Species just after the turn of the century in 1901” (pg. 15)
“It is an established fact that atheistic philosopher Bertrand Russell advocated the re-enslavement of black people and pejoratively referred to them as “darkies.”(pg. 67)
Re: Hitchens gets schooled.
Eh... He never says those things. They're examples of things which, if he did say, atheists would be up in arms protesting. He was making the point that when Hitchens does it he can just say, "I made a mistake it'll be corrected in subsequent editions." Which he did say about the urban legend that orthodox Jews have sex through a hole in a sheet.Gawdzilla wrote:I wonder what color the sky is on his planet?“It is well known that nearly all child molesters are raised with atheistic beliefs” (pg. 32)

Not that I think that's any type of point at all. Nothing wrong with being wrong and admitting so.

Re: Hitchens gets schooled.
The paragraph immediately above that list:
The book is confrontationally entitled Nonsense of a High Order: The Confused and Illusory World of the Atheist. Unfortunately for Averick, he entirely blows his credibility as an authoritative voice on this subject very early in the book. How can we take him seriously when he actually writes the following absurdities?

You didn't read it all (understandably!)Gawdzilla wrote:The paragraph immediately above that list:

Thank God (yes, he does exist), the book review above is entirely imaginary...
