Yes I am.
All this rapture nonsense and we have made a massive deal out of it.
As atheists who know it was all bullshit we should have simply ignored it and laughed our arses off instead of giving it so much over the top attention.
Did people really think there was just the tiniest chance there was something in it or something? It has been a bit like hysterical laughter in the face of adversity here this last day or two.

What else to do but mock? It's all it deserves and should be shown for the ludicrous thing it is.
Except for being angry or sad at the tragic people who have ruined their own lives over this, or attempted to kill their own children, and such... that infuriates me.

..which also raises the issue of those who are severely disappointed and traumatised by the event NOT happening. A rash of suicides? A rush to atheism (I doubt), ..or crawling further into the mad logic of bible interpretation and prophesy!?

The power of the media, and the sheer depth of the insanity. This wasn't like people praying for Chilean miners or somebody saying that God was rooting for their team to win - Rapture predictions are way beyond that stuff, so the reactions are way beyond the norm as well.

Yes, I posted links on FB & here - a woman stabbed her two teenage daughters & herself (this occurred a couple of weeks ago, though, but was sparked by rapture fears). Also there was the guy who was going to kill his pets, but they were removed from him. Not to mention those who have quit jobs, given all their money away while their children say
and the like...

Say a big meteor hits the planet. That is not the end but a wonderful new beginning. But man was pretty cool for along time. For a species. So for that, fundies cant see the picture at all.
