Atheist fundamentalism

It irritates me, even if it means very little, and is a misnomer in itself. I've given up on debating theists, particularly because I'd rather keep my friends, but I rarely discuss it anyway. I've found the best policy is to ignore it the majority of the time, but when someone introduces their religious belief into a conversation, I treat them like an adult to a child; they then know never to talk about it, they realize I wont entertain their silliness.

The argument has far became futile and boring, I no longer enjoy it. I don't like upsetting people, but I'm at my 'worse' when people let their juvenile knowledge of scripture slip. Faith should be challenged, but only when it poses a threat to individuals or the scientific establishment; you could argue that it does so passively, but little old ladies aren't going to ensure the defeat of evolutionary biology or kill someone for being gay.

There shouldn't be, but there is, and that's because "atheists" are, collectively, as retarded as any other group.
