Seriously. Why do people talk so much crap and feel the need to inflict it on me.

Wait ... you're trying to engage someone in serious discussion on Facebook? :ask:

I suppose it could work. :eddy:

Guilty pleasure?

lol. erm... I will take a video of Him and post it of facebook? Nah, i reckon that it boils down to faith; that immeasurable ability to believe what you have not seen, told by those that did not see it. I could try proof by contradiction; if there were no God, type of argument. Conclusion would be that 'nothing' randomly split into matter and antimatter.. really?? and then the matter and antimatter (which mutually discombobulate when then are in contact with one another) did not chance one upon the other, which enables particles to be formed... and the dust gathered through random motion... and then the earth was formed. really?? then... then a meteor with ice brought water... which then propagated life by combination of chemicals to form simple proteins which then became single cell organisms that then slowly evolved into this fine specimen of man we call Kingstone... really?? so, what if, instead of accepting these statistically highly unlikely theories of events leading to our existence, can we not embrace the possibility of a greater being and intelligent creation?? (I shd write a book. lol)

FML! I've really got him going now.

In response, you should maybe comment that the sperm that fertilised the egg that became him had a 1 in 110-million chance of being successful (on average) during that one passionate event. And that the sperm that made his parents had similar odds, and the sperm that made his grandparents had similar odds. So get him to work out (over the 300 or so generations since god created Adam) what the odds are that he should exist.

And then, "instead of accepting these statistically highly unlikely events, we should embrace the concept that he was delivered by a stork as a fully-formed baby."

Just finished reading The Grand Design by Hawking/Mlodinow. You should know that there are an infinite number of quantum universes and we live in the one we do because it is the one that had the highest probability of producing us. Or something like that. It only seems unlikely. My head is spinning.

I once ended up in an argument with a conspiracy theorist over chem trails on FB. I can sympathise with you, we know we shouldn't kick the hornets nest too hard but it's just irresistable.
