Islam - lunacy

Post by Rum » Fri Sep 10, 2010 11:58 am

I was going to post the BBC story about the protests all around the world about the stupid bugger who was going to burn a copy of the Koran in protest to a mosque being built near 'ground zero', but you will have seen the story and the images.

The 'disproportionate' response, which has included burning the American flag in loads of places, chants of 'kill all Christians' (not athiests I notice!)..the general hysteria, is irrational, totally over the top and an indication of how crazy it has the potential to be. It already is of course.

We are often told about the 'moderate' majority but Islam is going to get nastier and nastier in my view as it intertwines increasingly with politics. We who lead 'progressive' lives face a real challenge I fear.

I know what you mean, Rum, but part of is down to media sensationalism. They are not going to go out and record an interview with Mr and Mrs moderate muslim who will say that the reverend is a rude man, but they know most westerners are not like him, and they hope it blows over soon so they can get on with their lives...

No, they are going to find the local loonies saying death to the infidel (and I know there are still a worrying number of them...)

Which is why I had a huge ham loaded pizza yesterday before sundown (would have had extra pepperoni on it except that pepperoni is hard to get in this country)

I am thanking Allah that I'm not a Muslim. Thank You thank You, O' Allah the Most Merciful. Given the shit lives the vast majority of Muslims live, and the oppression that you see fit to allow in stinking Islamic sess pits, the only rational conclusion is that You make those that You hate and scorn into Muslims, and curse their lives with that filthy theocratic yolk. I consider myself blessed by Allah that I am not a Muslim.

Any Muslims offended by this can fuck right the hell off.

Just as the 'Western' press exaggerates and concentrates on the flag-burnings, riots and threats of violence when it depicts muslims, so the Islamic press concentrates on cunts like Terry "anyone got a light for my Qu'ran?" Jones when it depicts xtians.

The truth is that both muslims and xtians are just people and the overwhelming majority of them are quite happy to get on with their lives and let the nutters rant. Sadly, press bias - on both sides - is likely to inflame things still further. But, if there's a good story there and it sells papers...

Is Eid considered "walk my dog in front of a Mosque day?"

Why's it stupid?
Because on this Eid, Muslims believe they are commanded by a non-existent skydaddy to recite that false god's praises all throughout the holiday (which apparently lasts three days). Muslims recite an incantation to their stupid god in a cultish low voice while going to the Eid prayer: "Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar. Laa ilaaha ilal-lahu wal-Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar wa-lilla hil hamd." The day is full of ritualized prayer and placations to a deity. It has not been secularized in the least.

It's a stupid holiday, also, because the entire Muslim religion is stupid, and horrid.
