Lately I've seen this picture pop up on a few blogs:

... and it occurred to me that, since armageddon seems to have trouble showing up on time, there might be a better way to have gone about spreading the word:

Seems a very untidy sort of date for the end of the world. Personally I think Jebus will be inclined to return on a nicely rounded date like 1st Jan 2000.

I'm all for it. I love predictions like that, and like 12/21/2012. They break the First Rule of Bullshit Prophesy: If you give an actual date, then that's the date the fools who buy that crap can have their faces rubbed in it.
