The mayor of a town near Malta's main airport has called for the removal of a sculpture resembling a penis near the road leading to the capital Valletta ahead of a weekend visit by the Pope.

Why should they take it down "as a sign of respect for the pope"? Doesn't he have a penis? Didn't God create man in his own image, including the penis?

I think it would be really cool if the pope visited, stopped off near the sculpture, and had his photo taken next to it, perhaps licking it. Show that he is a real human being with a sense of humour instead of some dried up hypocrite who is offended by the human form (unless that human form is of a small naked boy).
