I havent heard this creationist argument before. Is he just misinformed about planetary evolution or is he filling gaps in our knowledge with goddiddit?

solar system
solar system
Outside the ordered universe is that amorphous blight of nethermost confusion which blasphemes and bubbles at the center of all infinity—the boundless daemon sultan Azathoth, whose name no lips dare speak aloud, and who gnaws hungrily in inconceivable, unlighted chambers beyond time and space amidst the muffled, maddening beating of vile drums and the thin monotonous whine of accursed flutes.

Re: solar system
I wasted 10 minutes of my life watching this nonsense. For starters there is no such thing as 'evolutionary astronomy'. He is using the term because he is a creationist and he wants to attack rational and scientific astronomy in the same way that they attack biological evolution. There is no 'natural selection' in astronomy!
The man is a fool.

Is there any way I can get rid of the dinosaur?

Re: solar system
Well, near the beginning he says that science claims to be able to explain exactly how the solar system formed. Straw-man set up. As Dara O'Briain says "Science Knows It Doesn't Know Everything, Otherwise It Would Stop"
Then a little later he finds a quote from one particular text book which says that the exact mechanics of planetary formation were not completely understood. Straw-man knocked over. Therefore God, apparently.
I'm not quite curious enough about how many other stupid arguments he can come up with, to watch the rest of it.

[Disclaimer - if this is comes across like I think I know what I'm talking about, I want to make it clear that I don't. I'm just trying to get my thoughts down]
