On TV: Are Christians Being Persecuted?
Are Christians Being Persecuted?
A BBC tv programme tonight http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00rx7tj investigates – to use the expression loosely – the fact that “Many Christians feel that Christianity - once the heart of British society - is being pushed to the margins.”
Any thoughts from anyone who’s watched/ing it?
Fuck 'em I say, but that's not very persuasive of me.

Given the choice between persecuting christians and persecuting gays, I will go with the christians. If you run a business that is open to the public, you can't pick and choose who uses it, that is called discrimination, and no amount of 2000 year old woo is going to legitimise it.
A book is a version of the world. If you do not like it, ignore it; or offer your own version in return.

Of the previous 3 days, the entire country here comes to a standstill and you can barely fucking do anything so the xtians can party on down over their chief getting nailed to a plank. The UK was the same when I lived there.
And they call that discrimination? Discrimination against whom though? Every-fucking-one else but the xtians, I say.

Let's help them believe it. Let's set up some amphitheaters and invite them to compete with lions.

Please, don't give up hope. You must cling to hope. I hope you do. Here's hoping.Feck wrote:Bruce Burleson wrote:There is hope for you yet.Feck wrote:Bruce Burleson wrote:So, they are not being persecuted now, but you would if given the chance - right?Tigger wrote:Kill them all, then.

Very VERY biased film indeed. Soft pedals the xian nuttery and even compared secularism to totalitarian russia.
IMHO, you're having "special" privileges removed, so you're like the rest of us. You can't whine about something you shouldn't have had in the first place. Religion has had 2000 years to get it right and it failed.

good idea, the bastids are getting more annoying each day: http://www.theaustralian.com.au/news/pe ... 5849497279 ,then they start bitching and moaning about victims of child abuse portraying them in a bad light, fucking sick bastards,Gawdzilla wrote:Let's help them believe it. Re: On TV: Are Christians Being Persecuted?
I don't think Christians are being "persecuted". Especially in a country like the United States where, for many decades, they essentially had things their own way. Just as in other parts of the world Muslims have it all their own way (more so, in fact). The exponents of these religions are probably expressing frustration at the fact that a lot of people are starting to express doubts as to the veracity of religious claims. They're starting to think for themselves and, as everybody knows, that is an unpardonable sin. The world is full of doubting Thomas's and religious folk don't like it.
Blah, blah, blah

Anybody at all surprised they're lying about this?
