My Nephew's Rant

Post by tattuchu » Tue Mar 16, 2010 4:51 pm

I sent my nephew that funny youtube vid someone posted here the other day:

This was my nephew's response. I invited him here to post it himself, but he said he was kinda busy. He had to figure out how to style his hair into devil horns, for instance. Anyway, take it away Joe...

Rant:
This reminds me of some stupid video dad made me watch, about this guy who converted from Atheism to Christianity, due to a near-death experience. But my extensive research on psychedelics had prepared me for this. Right before death, the DMT stored in our pineal gland is released. DMT is a powerful psychedelic, and like all psychedelics, it's effects are largely dependent on your state of mind and surroundings, and has been known to result in spiritual experiences. As I was listening to him talking about his experience, everything he said matched up perfectly with all the key aspects of the psychedelic trip reports that I've read. But of course, my dad refused to believe that, claiming that "He's a Christian, therefore he wouldn't lie about something like this!" Totally ignoring the fact the difference between belief and reality. Where the man knows he had this crazy experience, and believes it was real, but in reality, it was just a chemically induced hallucination. At this point, we're getting into far too intellectual of topics for his inferior creationist mind to grasp, so upon realizing that he has no idea what I'm talking about, he starts throwing around emotional attacks, like "Well I guess you just know everything then!" No, I don't know everything, but your fucking imaginary friend doesn't either, and I know a hell of a lot more than you do. As well as the classic "You're going down the path of death and destruction!" When in reality, I'm going down the path of logic and reason, two words he's probably forgotten the meaning of.
The next Sunday, he pretty much forced me to go to church, threatening to disconnect the internet, forbid me from hanging out with friends and pretty much (try to) take away all my freedom... After previously having vowed not to twist my arm, and stating that religion isn't something that can be forced on people, and that they have to come to it for themselves... I guess he got tired of waiting. You'd think he'd be happy, I mean, he's always told me to think for my self, and give my life to protect my freedom. But then when I draw my own conclusions, and exercise freedom of religion, he condemns me for it... But hey, it's not like he doesn't have a reason. After all, when I don't go to church with them, Helene throws a bitch fit, and breaks up with him for a few days, then comes crawling back to repeat the cycle next week. What he fails to realize is that she'll always find something to bitch about, it doesn't matter what it is, or how stupid it is.
People think "queue" is just "q" followed by 4 silent letters.

But those letters are not silent.

They're just waiting their turn.

How long until he is old enough to move out?
Outside the ordered universe is that amorphous blight of nethermost confusion which blasphemes and bubbles at the center of all infinity—the boundless daemon sultan Azathoth, whose name no lips dare speak aloud, and who gnaws hungrily in inconceivable, unlighted chambers beyond time and space amidst the muffled, maddening beating of vile drums and the thin monotonous whine of accursed flutes.

Code: Select all

// Replaces with spaces the braces in cases where braces in places cause stasis
   $str = str_replace(array("\{","\}")," ",$str);

Still a couple years. He's only in tenth grade. I wish I had money. If I did I'd have him live with me, but I can hardly afford to support myself much less somebody else.
He used to split his time between his divorced parents, but then my sister (his mother) got in a bad accident. So then he split his time between his father and his step-father (who never gave two shits about his step kids). But then his step-father divorced his (now severely disabled) mother and moved away. So now he's stuck living with his religious wingnut father full time. Poor kid.
