There is no knowledge without belief, for it is belief that triggers the quest for knowledge.

All those beliefs are utterly different to religious beliefs, and illustrates that the word is used so widely it can almost mean anything.

When used in the case of the likelihood of everyday phenomena such as a sunrise occurring, "I believe that..." means nothing except a rational estimate of probabilities based on past experience.

Belief is the proposition that a thought is true, nothing more. Knowledge is the understanding that the thought is true.

When used as a scientific hypothesis, without direct knowledge, it is assumed that it remains only a hypothesis until clear evidence is accumulated.

When used in the context of belief in the supernatural, it is a faith statement based on emotion and conjecture, not everyday experience, and certainly not as a mere hypothesis, awaiting data...

First, it is you that labels phenomena you do not understand and have not observed to be "supernatural," so your analysis fails at the first step.

Second, all belief is based on conjecture. Everyday experience merely strengthens or weakens the degree of belief.

The 2 uses of the word cannot be conflated without stretching the meaning of the word beyond reasonable limits.

The one proper use of the word cannot be sub-divided with the intent to support a particular proposition favorable to your argument, such as you have made.
