Nah. I don't believe at all really. I am a logician. A bard. A kundalini-intuitive. Life can be hard.
Oh. OK. That's nice. Thanks.

Poor kid. I think he's saying he's traumatized and strung out on acid. It's hard to tell, he's barely coherent.

Ah. Attempt at deep personalization with your target. Amusing. I'm good though, thanks. Sipping tea and watching shows.

How are you, self-proclaimed keyboard warrior? I hope you're finding it pleasant here.

The Church believes that life, in its essence, is flawed or originally sinful. Strike one.

Dawkins believes that genes survive.
Just like the Church.
The Church believes that people survive. Dawkins calls it copying, the Church calls it reincarnation. But nothing survives death. Strike two.

Dawkins believes in favoured forms - survival of the fittest.
Just like the Church.
The Church believes in favoured forms - the lineage of the prophets. Strike three.

Dawkins believes that evolved structures - Dawkin's designoids, are forms.
Just like the Church.
The Church believes that evolved structures - God's designs, are forms. Strike four.

Dawkins believes that without Dawkinian altruistic intervention we are blind machines.
Just like the Church.
The Church believes that without Jesus' altruistic intervention we are blind machines. Strike five.

Richard Dawkins? rationalist? More like the worlds biggest religious fraud.
Richard will later be on display for his followers, pickled by his beloved Church in a specimen bottle, where he can be seen slowly fermenting, bubbling, blackening, and decaying. Strike six...

(And Pokemon computer games are logic based, nothing in the big book of bullshit comes even close to being so elegantly designed, shit though such games may be.)

Curtis put it exactly. Did you get it?
Oh I got it all right and it was far funnier than the pop at Dawkins.

Everybody stop being meanie weenies :x

Jonesboy is obviously a sensitive creature of delicate sensibilities. He must be treated with extra care lest he be traumatized by your gruff rudeness. It is a cruel cruel world out there and he obviously needs to be comforted. The senseless lashing out at Richard Dawkins and various others is clearly a plea for help. Help that we alone can give.

Now, let us all give him a special warm welcome and say something nice to him.

Jonesboy: you do not smell as bad as the stuff I found growing in a Tupperware container in the back of the fridge and with some effort into persona hygiene, you could almost not look as bad either. :swoon:

See: it isn't that difficult.
What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."

Needs poll.

I suggest three options.

Richard Dawkins is a rationalist.
Richard Dawkins is a religious nut.
That's Professor Dr Dr Dr Dr Dr Dr Dr Dr Dr Dr Dr Dr Richard Dawkins to you.

Revoting allowed, but it will only register a vote when you click on option three.

He's obviously a religious nut, no two ways about it. We can rationalize all we want in an effort to evade the obvious, but deep down we all know the truth. Nut.
Right. So now that's sorted, the only question remains...which kind of nut? I say filbert :coffee:
People think "queue" is just "q" followed by 4 silent letters.

But those letters are not silent.

They're just waiting their turn.
