In answer to the IP, a Unitarian, though I never really thought about what it meant, being like five, and was pretty much an atheist from the time I did.

You have to like Victorian fiction.Schneibster wrote:I had despaired of finding anyone else who'd actually read Le Fanu. My sister is a huge fan; I've never been able to figure out why, despite reading a book full of short stories she recommended.Svartalf wrote:Shall I mention the highly erotic athmosphere of Le Fanu's Carmilla?

Yeah I was that too, maybe two years, in this century! I put God on intensive care, but he died just like Jesus.Schneibster wrote:In answer to the IP, a Unitarian, though I never really thought about what it meant, being like five, and was pretty much an atheist from the time I did.

I read that as 'fashion' initially. I was going to say that explains the frilled neck thingies.Svartalf wrote:You have to like Victorian fiction.Schneibster wrote:I had despaired of finding anyone else who'd actually read Le Fanu. A.C. Doilie should be required reading. I've read them all and have the entire BBC audiobook collection.

Re: What were you before you became and atheist?
Fail. No mention of eternity is necessary. I've been in existence 56 years, and have been an atheist all that time. Therefore I've "never been anything but an atheist".Exi5tentialist wrote:Only God is eternal. To deny something into eternity is to make an alliance with God. Therefore 'never' is a deeply, deeply religious idea. I would never use the word, personally.Geoff wrote:No it isn't.Exi5tentialist wrote:Are you sure about that? 'Never' is a very religious idea.Zombie Gawdzilla wrote:Never been anything but an atheist. Live with it.
You really aren't very good at this, are you?
