More likely you are an Atheist, having been exposed to religious and theistic concepts and having made a conscious choice not to believe them but to believe something else. It depends on how you practice that other belief thought.John_fi_Skye wrote:I'm an atheist. End of. My mum was episcopalian and my dad was presbyterian. I have progressed to calling myself a technical atheist, in the sense that I am convinced that God doesn't physically exist. At the same time I have come to believe that whether God physically exists or not is completely irrelevant. Ideologues are still part of the problem, unless they have a sense of humor.

Re: I'm a Catholic atheist.
I've never been anything but an atheist. I was raised without all that god-bothering and it never took when I was finally exposed to it, around age seven. I was never so glad to be tossed out of school. (At least until 11th grade when Sue was suspended for three days the same time I was. But that's another story.)
Seth, you are all
with this "atheism is a religion" thing. It's past pathetic, beyond funny, and just downright stupid. Grow up.
Seth, you are all

Was a very confused person went from being a not giving a shit about it all to fundamentalist christian to a lapsed christian who thought that communism was compatible with christianity (it is but thats another day) and then an agnostic to a full blown godless commie.

I should members of my local communist party branch are catholics (although they believe in liberation theology a favorite of john paul II) and greek orthodox and see no conflicts with being a communist at all.Gawdzilla wrote:You should start a thread on the God/commie shit.
