Well it seems to me that the argument of arrogance because of the belief that they are better could apply to many if not most cultures. Are the English reviled globally for their delusion of Empire and the whole "white man's burden" thing? Are the Americans because of the "manifest destiny" shtick? While I accept that other cultures can often find them annoying, there is not the hatred there that is applied to the Jewish Folk.
