A fascinating lecture. I watched it all - I wish he wouldn't try to laugh though - it's very annoying.

I found that. I hate it. I think it's an american thing. It grates on British ears, but it wears off and you get used to it.
A lot of American speakers do it.
William Lane Craig does it all the time, it's worse than when Ehrman does it, because he usually does it when he's trying to ridicule somebody.

It would be better all round if they didn't though.
