You can review for the test with
http://www.thebricktestament.com/

I don't care so much about the other religins, so I am not going to review. Muslims put their wives in sacks and Buddhism requires meditation that takes away time from beer drinking. Plus Islam does not allow drinking in the first place, I wonder how it survived, drinking all that contaminated water.

The infamous sermon by Johnathan Edwards where he explains that while you just kinda suck by human standards,by God's standards you really really blow and therefore you deserve infinite punishment for the utter disgust He feels when He looks at you. Since He is just, He will not punish you more than an infinite amount.
Will it cheer me up ?
If you're into certain fetishes maybe.
What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."

As I have said before, most Christians are not actually Christians. I call 'em Woostians.........

.......as they have made up their own Woo and simply call it Christian.

I finally got through on this silly simple quiz. :lay: 14 out of 15. I'm not the most religiously well-versed person, and those questions were ridiculously easy.

14/15 - piece of piss. Hard to credit the average scores they quote - especially from thew supposedly religious! I suppose it drives home the point that the only way anyone could be stupid enough to believe in that shit is to be too stupid to actually bother to know what it is they are believing in!

I also go a 14/15. You would have to know nothing about history or other religions to fail.....oh, wait........

I thought the Jewish Sabbath was just Saturday, turns out it starts Friday...

Atheists Know More About Religion Than Theists

Post by RandomGuyOnCouch » Wed Sep 29, 2010 6:02 pm

http://www.nytimes.com/2010/09/28/us/28religion.html?_r=1 wrote:Americans are by all measures a deeply religious people, but they are also deeply ignorant about religion.

Researchers from the independent Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life phoned more than 3,400 Americans and asked them 32 questions about the Bible, Christianity and other world religions, famous religious figures and the constitutional principles governing religion in public life.

On average, people who took the survey answered half the questions incorrectly, and many flubbed even questions about their own faith.

Those who scored the highest were atheists and agnostics, as well as two religious minorities: Jews and Mormons. The results were the same even after the researchers controlled for factors like age and racial differences.
Does this really surprise anyone?

Didn't see the other one. I don't seem to be able to delete this topic.

Takes scrutiny to overcome something which promises you philosophical relief from the worries that are innate in all of us. Dun surprise me at all, no.

14/15 wasn't so easy - I got one of the ones on the US supreme court rulings wrong. Which I think is fair enough :P

Nice example of a normal distribution on the overall population graph :)
