If you've never seen a magic eye picture you can get toy viewers to help you cross your eyes. You're not missing that much though...
Some people find these moving ones harder, I find them easier for some reason. A part of it is training your eyes to relax right, it does get easier if you keep doing it. I can't do stereoscopic without a viewer though.

Nope.
Moving colours, nothing else.
Crossing my eyes, "spreading" them (opposite of crossing), adjusting my focal length from nosetip to 10-20 feet beyond the picture...nothing.

Look at the picture like you're trying to look through a window, you know where things closer to you get blurry and things further away get clearer?
