No no, Feck. I'm a wanted man. I need to keep my personal details to myself. But I will tell you one thing. One day.

I have to say the phrase "the universe is conscious" is one of the more ridiculous things I have heard. Do you even understand what consciousness is? Based on the current standard of consciousness, as seen in humans and other apes, the claim that the universe has this level of consciousness is laughable in the extreme. You may refuse to engage in DawkBoy's call for proof but all you are doing is showing that you hold claims that are inconsistent with the evidence and you decline to be reasoned with. That is not rational and it is also not intelligent.

@Feck proof about the position and properties of a particular electron can be gathered in light of the fact that we understand the uncertainty principle and the effects our observations will have on the position and properties. 'Proof' of panentheism simply relies upon on the misconception that blind, unaided forces can be conceptualised in terms of a vaguely personified impetus. It fails for exactly the same reason that you cannot say that Natural Selection is a force that guides and shapes evolution.

The universe might be , at the electron level and below, the uncertainty principle just means you can't see the complicated dance patterns electrons are doing with their partners .

Do the individual cells in your brain know they are part of a conciousness ,I don't think so ,so why do you think you would if you were part of a vast sentience ?

You see? None of you what consciousness is. Consciousness is neither a physical thing nor is it a result of any physical phenomenomenomenon. Your consciousness is your true self. The body, mind and brain are utilised by your consciousness to interact with the physical dimension. You don't think with your brain, you think via your brain. You atheists are always looking for any excuse to attribute consciousness to some kind of physical phenomenomenomenon, when that is not how it is. All you can discover is how the physical works with the nonphysical, yet you think all of it is physical. It's not. It's as nonsensical as actually believing that the people on your tv screen are actually in there. They're not. It's a broadcast. Your tv hosts the broadcast just as your brain hosts you, your consciousness. Mainstream science is far from the cutting edge. You atheists are very gullible. And whatsmore, I'm Chuck Jones.

Have another drink.

You do think with your brain.

Basically, you're imagining that you are something separate from your body and brain - you aren't. You don't inhabit that body - you are that body. There is no evidence that there is a broadcasted "you" beaming in from outside the body.

Consciousness is an emergent function of the cells in our body, most notably in our brain. Consciousness is a very specific state in which to be. I agree that if I were one conscious being in a massive group of conscious beings I may not be aware of the group consciousness to which I belong but the crucial thing you need for consciousness is the communication between the cells, or in the group consciousness example between the individual conscious beings. Perhaps we are in the middle of a larger consciousness but based on the definition of consciousness as an emergent property of groups of cells that communicate with each other in such a way as to evoke the state we describe as consciousness the universe cannot fall into that category. Where are the cells, how do they communicate? There is no evidence to suggest that the universe is conscious, as we define it, and so I can only conclude that it is not since there are very specific criteria that need to be met to fit this definition and all of them are lacking.
