You should like Grayling. I don't like a lot of philosophers because I feel they're to wind-baggy. Grayling is clear and concise. No waffle.mistermack wrote:I wouldn't say that, but I think to appreciate him properly, you need to be born in his era.Animavore wrote:Nietzschemistermack wrote:A great philosopher is someone who can state the bleedin obvious so beautifully, that you wish you'd said it yourself.
I like to hear people say exactly what they mean, in clear unambiguous language, so I can't engage with what little I've read of Nietzsche. That may be more my fault than his.
Or just an incompatibility of eras.

Is it going to be available later on from the same place? Or will I have to wait for a youtube?
[Disclaimer - if this is comes across like I think I know what I'm talking about, I want to make it clear that I don't. I'm just trying to get my thoughts down]

Here's the email I sent.

Where is CES anyway?
Here's what I recieved.A few friends have been asking me, can this be watched again after the
live viewing on the same channel or will someone be lifting the stream
and putting it on to YouTube?
Don't worry CES. I'll be looking casual but sharp. No jeans up to my armpits, raggedy shirt tucked in and little backpack pulled tight with greasy, floppy hair for me. I'm going to make atheist women want to come to atheist/sceptic eventsI'm 99% sure it'll be one or other of those options. Your best bet is to follow the AI twitter account as that'll post a link as to where it's available.

Will keep an eye out for a link to a replay, though.
Also, yes, where are you, coito? *missing your 'coffee'*

It works, after a 30 second ad and then waiting for the introductions, but the audio is rather poor early on. Seems to get better later though, so I'll try watching it through when I've cooked my sausages.
Cheers Ani.
