I have a deck of Tarot cards in a drawer in my bedroom. :coffee:

And the coolest deck of regular cards.

Well, if the legend is true, the sandwich gets that name because the First Lord of the Admiralty used to carry some to the card table so he would not have to break from the game for something as mundane as having to eat.
That would have been about two hundred years later.

Jesus F Christ! Are you all insane? Not one person realised it's true. There's referencing and there's Referencing and when...
Men who know tell me this is true, the cards have a secret language.
...it's time to belt up and take heed.

I love the assumption made in the article's first paragraph that cards will take people away from loving J Zuss... I frigging did not need those to come up with the conclusion that the chretin dog was the meanest bastard in creation if it existed in the first place... hard to love a concept like that.

BTW, is there any prescriptions about playing games and/or gambling in the bible? 'cause the only mention I can remember is dicing for Jesus' stuff, and that was an observation, not a judgment or prescription.

Oh, and cards being invented by Charles VI, the mad king, is pure fabrication, of course, they had been known in Italy for close to a century or two by the time he reigned, the concept brought from the East by crusaders.

And where did that moron get the crummy chretious symbolism from? It sure is the first time I hear about it, and I've never heard that the Catholic church condemned cards as blasphemous, even though it used to frown on gambling, so that fabrication must be a prod invention.

Sure - in the crematorium - but I'll be dead by then, so... meh. :tea:

In the interim, I will enjoy my poker and my fornication and my beer.
