Priest burns bible!

Well yeah...that's what we've been saying for ages!

The Church in Wales says it is investigating after a Gwynedd rector burnt some pages from the Bible.

The Reverend Geraint ap Iorwerth of St Peter ad Vincula Church, Pennal, also cut up pages from the King James Bible to create an artwork.

Unveiling it at a church event, he said it revealed a "cruel and vile God".

Interesting example of the inevitable tension between the harsh, mysogynistic vision of much of the bible, and the romanticised vision of Jesus that today's warm and fuzzy christians want to cling to...

Normally the tension is swept under the carpet. Clearly, the Rev couldn't stomach doing that any more... Something, at least...

Sounds like the bloke is thinking half-way to atheism .what he hasn't understood is that you can't claim the bible contains any truth if you choose to destroy the fucking nasty horrible bits ,that's like writing a biography of Hitler and only writing about how much he loved his dog .
