The Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF), the same group that brought us the indispensable ”DeBaptismal Certificate,“ hit a roadblock Monday when its appeal to omit the phrase ”under god” from the Pledge of Allegiance was denied review by U.S. Supreme Court justices.

No, consumers persuade companies to do what pleases consumers by granting or withholding their custom. As for the court case, the court acknowledged that "under God" is a tradition in this nation that does not infringe on any non-existent "right to freedom from religion" and is in fact an expression of freedom of religion protected by the First Amendment.

The entire Pledge of Allegiance needs to be struck and discontinued, except for private ceremonies.
