Fasten seatbelts for rapture

Post by Faithfree » Sun Apr 17, 2011 12:08 pm

....., if you’re watching the Rapture Index with keen anticipation, that is.

Me, I’ll be waving goodbye to the raptured with wine glass in hand, and hoping to pick up an abandoned car or two.

The Rapture Index has climbed to an all time high of 183, finally surpassing the previous record set in September 2001. This means either that they’re tuning up the celestial trumpets and Jeebus is working on his return speech, or a random coincidence of snowballing political turmoil and natural disasters. I'll let you decide.

The "interest rates" factor has recently increased, because the ECB increased the interest rates, but that's a return towards normalcy. These people don't know enough about the news to maintain an index like this...

So...have they set a date and time yet?
Is it worth buying Easter eggs this year?

May 21, 2011. He hasn't come up with a time, though.
Harold Camping lets out a hearty chuckle when he considers the people who believe the world will end in 2012.

"That date has not one stitch of biblical authority," Camping says from the Oakland office where he runs Family Radio, an evangelical station that reaches listeners around the world. "It's like a fairy tale."
Ha ha ha ha ha. It's a fairy tale.
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

At least we won't miss the Royal Wedding. Sigh.
