I still have a small pile of maybe 10 books about Zen and Buddhism from my last gasp attempt to get something from the religious approach to life. I got them out of the bookcase they are in today and thought about throwing them all out. I hate throwing books away, but these will go in due course..
I opened one book - a book of Chinese cartoons about Zen with the speech bubbles translated into English. As some of you may know Zen is about creating the circumstances for spontaneous 'enlightenment'. Mostly, though not totally woo..
One of the Zen statements was, however this: 'Every day is a good day'.
And it is true.
Every day is a good day..

I suppose that depends on how you define "good" and "true".

Tell that to Michael Douglas
We have no great war, no great depression.
Our great war is a spiritual war.
Our great depression is our lives.
