Who's your favourite Fundie?

Post by mindyourmind » Sat Aug 21, 2010 6:24 pm

So many to choose from

My current favourite must be Pope Been-a-Dick.
He is being quite effective in fucking over Catholicism all by himself. With the help of a few thousand paedopriests.
So you are saying that the reason why God created the universe, including millions of years of human and animal suffering, and the extinction of most species, is so that at the end of all of that a select few humans could be with him forever. I see.

I am rather fond of the soul winners.
I'm wild just like a rock, a stone, a tree
And I'm free, just like the wind the breeze that blows
And I flow, just like a brook, a stream, the rain
And I fly, just like a bird up in the sky
And I'll surely die, just like a flower plucked
And dragged away and thrown away
And then one day it turns to clay
It blows away, it finds a ray, it finds its way
And there it lays until the rain and sun
Then I breathe, just like the wind the breeze that blows
And I grow, just like a baby breastfeeding
And it's beautiful, that's life

Locally it would have to be either Abbott or Pell
"The fact is that far more crime and child abuse has been committed by zealots in the name of God, Jesus and Mohammed than has ever been committed in the name of Satan. Many people don't like that statement but few can argue with it."

My brother.
I am, somehow, less interested in the weight and convolutions of Einstein’s brain than in the near certainty that people of equal talent have lived and died in cotton fields and sweatshops. - Stephen J. Gould

That Ugandan nutter.... even ignoring all the "eat da poo-poo" stuff, he'd be my favourite for the "Sodomy Kills" badges alone. I really want one of those badges. :hehe:

My favourite "fundie" is Stephen Hawking
I - like him - just happen to be one of those “spontaneous creationists” who likes the idea the universe created itself with no divine intervention.
Just because more people believe Jesus is the son of God and not the son of Satan does not make it any truer.

No votes for Ray Comfort? At least the Youtube videos are entertaining. I would not meet the man in person, he is a bit dim.

Jesus, is that allowed?

What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."
