This was mentioned on the our national nightly news with Brian Williams. He added this inane comment to the announcement made by one of his co-workers after tying it into the next segment about the baby pandas just born in a zoo in Japan.

"If there is no god, then how do you explain the pandas?" :banghead:

If there is a god, how do you explain that guy in the video I posted over in the Chavs thread???
What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."

If there is a God who dislikes Hawking's theories then I should think due to Hawkings such frail health he should be one of the easiest guys to zap. :pensioner:

If there really was a god he would not have allowed cardigans to be invented. That's all the evidence I need.

Have been reading a chunk of the serialisation in the Times (not all - it's too dull)..........the interest to me has been the responses from the religionistas. Seems to basically be: "Don't care, na na n' na na (sp?!)" and "God exists because I say it does - here's another 1000 words of nonsense as my evidence".

Shining light on a turd tends to reveal it's true nature.............
I am Leader of all The Atheists in the world - FACT.

If this scientific theory is proven to the true would have the most serious implications for the Christian faith. Far more than evolution and other theories and discoveries which equally marginalized the role of a God with meteorology explaining moisture convection driven by solar energy evaporation over the oceans causing it to rain and not God. Rock masses suddenly succumbing to stresses along fault lines causing earthquakes and not God. The spontaneous creation theory of Hawking hits at the very heart of God and stabs him in it rendering any concept of a God and intelligent design as no more than a another old preposterous arcane idea which has done its time, like a then old flat earth on four pillars.

Yup.

That's what I thought... Until talking to Mr Bolero about it, who had already been on the cretinist websites seeing how they were going to "debunk" Hawking. You know what? Turns out "Stephen Hawking can't talk - he's been discredited a NUMBER of times. And besides, Bolero - you don't even KNOW him. I KNOW these creation scientists PERSONALLY - why wouldn't I trust what they say over some discredited scientist I've never even met who's pushing the atheist agenda?

Yes, yes, I know. Don't pull it to pieces - I already did, and it was still a case of fingers in the ears "La la la I AM NOT LISTENING".
