Kids I would have confirmed in the eighth grade, by the time they’re sophomores in high school say they’re atheists. They don’t just stop going to church..." said the president of the US catholic bishops’ conference, cardinal Francis George. I am happy that he feels as alarmed by the growth of atheist clubs in American high schools as I would be if I heard of a significant increase of christian fellowship groups. Either trends reflects a change in attitudes that are bound to result in changes in real life. I don't see how this could not be so.
