Or at least the case can be argued?
My inspiration was the Mormons and Muslims who go around converting people againts their will (by being dead or being scared).......and those religions that (nowadays) say that all religions are part ofthe God thing and therefore equally valid.
IMO would be kinda cool to annoy Woo Peddlers by saying something like: that as all religion is part of the human experiance it's simply one route that people find to express their belief in humanism - albeit not a route shared by Atheists. But nonetheless they be Humanists - whether they like it or not!
Any thoughts?

I tend to say, when in discussion with religious people about the morality strand in religion, that altruism predated the Bible by a few scores of thousands of years and that it derives form a social species having to find ways to get along.
Of course the argument is usually ignored.

Dead right. But having had many debates with xtians over the years, I have now for a long time found such discussions terminally boring, so I don't bother. Let them in their dwindling numbers believe what they believe, and let them leave me alone. I work as a Humanist Celebrant for those who approach me because of their views, but as for ever trying to convert somebody - I just cannae be bothered!Jesus_of_Nazareth wrote:Or at least the case can be argued?

Pray, do not mock me: I am a very foolish fond old man; And, to deal plainly, I fear I am not in my perfect mind.
