Just when you thought Christian crazies couldn't get any crazier, this lot pipes up. These people must think Landover Baptist is a serious site and approve of it.
The American Family Association, a religious right group, is urging that Tillikum (Tilly), the killer whale that killed a trainer at SeaWorld Orlando, be put down, preferably by stoning. Citing Tilly's history of violent altercations, the group is slamming SeaWorld for not listening to Scripture in how to deal with the animal:

I don't understand why Deuteronomy doesn't have more specific instructions for the disposal of Orca. You'd think, wouldn't you, that, rather than an ox or a goat goring someone, they'd have issued instructions for what to do about really dangerous animals, like lions, komodo dragons, stingrays and the like. But no. Goats and ox.

Tilly came from British Columbia, where he was raised entirely in captivity and hence could not survive in the wild.
The Victoria, BC whale aquarium sold Tilly to SeaWorld after he killed a trainer in one of their holding pens, ostentensibly with a proviso in the sales contract that he not be used in public shows. But SeaWorld ignored that and immediately put him into their public shows. He killed two others before this latest event so now has four deaths on his flippers.

I agree with whoever said why should the whale be killed? Although as it is, as I understand it, he lives a very solitary life which is rather cruel for a very social animal.

How about we make it fair, they get a few minutes to try and fling rocks at the Killer Whale, then we give the Whale a few minutes to get its own back.
