Quite simple -

It means nothing and they'd prefer the church didn't include them on their roll.

Not cool at all in fact.

Things like this make me sigh. Between this, atheists putting up signs beside nativity scenes and those silly little 'A' badges Dawkins wears on his lapel I'm starting to think this 'atheism' thing, or certain aspects of it, is becoming a bit of a joke.
My baptism was a joke in the first place. Dawkins, your little badge might as well be a dove and let the Christians have their little nativity it's not harming anyone.
