He blames the German people who he thinks support what he believes is happening. Breivik also didn't attack a mosque but a social democratic youth camp.

It's easy to dismiss these people as mentally ill, but their justification and reasoning (such that it is) only repeats what right-wing mouthpieces and media say every hour of every day. The 'crazies' are the Right's zealots, their jihadists or puritan army - they are the true believers; they are living the orthodoxy of their values and putting them into action; they are a vanguard for the kind of world the Right dreams of creating.

Don't look for logic - falling into the trap of the culprit. Ultimately. Most Muslims are not atheists. But there is a strand of militant intolerant atheism that is as screw loose as any fanatical take on religion. It is really pointless trying to rationalise why Putin named his missiles Satan before firing 200 at the UK. These sorts of rear view mirror rationalisations don't take into account that some people are simply ticking time-bombs of crazy evil, waiting for their moment in the sun. Maybe one in five are like that. Most die before the day...there are far more latent crazy evil people, look across history and you quickly realise benign civilization is a fluke, and maybe a temporary one at that.
