Not so sure the real problem is the vehicles, but the need for a “commute”.

Aye, they are both problematic.

Both my sons are lucky in their commute. For a start, they can work from home a couple of days a week, and for the actual commute to work, they ride their bikes, with most of the distance being on dedicated bike routes.

Bron is very happy with her recently bought Tesla model 3 (it took 10 months from order to delivery); most of our city and nearby driving is in that. I'm hanging on to my Subaru Forester, it's economical for our trips into the inland...

Curious about that car. Was something wrong with it? My three ton service van gets twice that many miles per gallon!

Ford Torino - early on for the catalytic converter and running at 80mph the manifold glowed bright orange and the car just drank fuel.

Freeway capable, and a boon to those awaiting organ donors. :D

You are clearly not a rider. :fp:
57 years on motorcycles and the only damage is a rotator cuff from falling off on green moss on a forest trail.
The bike top end is north of 110 kph ...same as my CB300F and the bikes weigh the same.
The 155 has better weather protection. I like dual hand brakes as well like the Burgman 650. Not sure where you get your ideas from :ask:

You missed the smiley macdoc. I wasn't being entirely serious. My brother's ridden all his life and has only come off once, at low speed, when the driver of a parked car opened her door on him - broken collarbone.

That said: A study finds that accidents at large motorcycle rallies lead to increased organ donations. :D

We only have buses on weekdays to maybe 6PM. So the car is somewhat necessary. With an eBike I could cut some driving. The city is like 10 miles by ten miles so gas is no big deal. Our car is pre pandemic.
