Chronicles of a Stillborn Zombie Coup

Post by L'Emmerdeur » Thu Dec 16, 2021 6:58 am

It's not over. The Republican gerrymandering, legislating for 'election integrity' and takeover of direct control of elections will see to that. Meanwhile we have the goons who attacked the Capitol and the legislators working in the Capitol who attempted to subvert and overthrow democracy in the United States. The story is being told in courtrooms and in the January 6th committee room. This is about much more than the machinations of the bloated con man/former president. His consiglieri and henchmen, aiders and abettors should not be overlooked. Certainly the stories of the atrocious sideshow clowns and assorted malignant dingleberries also deserve note.

This item relates to the supposed smoking gun surveillance video in which it was claimed that election workers could be seen stuffing the ballot box. Some business about pulling suitcases from under a table or something, which was obviously nefarious according to right wing shitbirds and a leftist with superior cardio. The main character in the surveillance video, an election worker who was doing her job properly, became a target for the shitbirds, including the Shitbird in Chief, who named her multiple times in his infamous 'ya gotta find me 11,780 votes' phone call.

She was harassed by a 'publicist' who works for Kanye West (though he claims that she no longer works for him) in an apparent attempt at a twisted Jedi mind trick: 'Things are going to get very bad for you. Best just confess, and we'll make sure it's not so bad. Here, I want you to talk to this fellow named Harrison Ford.' (Yeah, that's the name the publicist used.) The election worker had the presence of mind to get to a police station to meet with the publicist, so there's some police body cam video of the encounter.

'Kanye West publicist pressed Georgia election worker to confess to bogus fraud charges'
Weeks after the 2020 election, a Chicago publicist for hip-hop artist Kanye West traveled to the suburban home of Ruby Freeman, a frightened Georgia election worker who was facing death threats after being falsely accused by former President Donald Trump of manipulating votes. The publicist knocked on the door and offered to help.

The visitor, Trevian Kutti, gave her name but didn’t say she worked for West, a longtime billionaire friend of Trump. She said she was sent by a “high-profile individual,” whom she didn’t identify, to give Freeman an urgent message: confess to Trump’s voter-fraud allegations, or people would come to her home in 48 hours, and she’d go to jail.
There's a lot more at the link. Bizarre shenanigans.

Trevian Kutti has some cred in the 'let's shitcan this election' crowd.

'How Trevian Kutti Went From Repping R. Kelly and Kanye West to Hyping a QAnon Fan and Trump’s Big Lie'
Donald Trump and his Republican allies’ failed coup attempts got an aggressive, bizarre boost from a former associate of world-famous rapper Kanye West.

The secretive, pro-Trump effort by Trevian Kutti—who appears to be the only person in the United States who bears that name, according to public records databases—was a particularly baffling Coen Brothers-style twist in a sprawling anti-democratic crusade overflowing with unlikely developments.

So, who exactly is this literally one-of-a-kind Trevian Kutti, who took a break from rubbing elbows with the Hollywood and music-industry elite so she could play a bit part in MAGAworld’s efforts to asphyxiate American democracy and keep Trump in power?

For one thing, she claimed late last year to be in direct contact with one of Trump’s legal teams. She’s posted various photos of herself posing with MAGA luminaries, including the wealthy pillow magnate who personally funded pro-Trump election challenges. And once upon a time, she was a Hillary Clinton donor.

Like her former employer, Kanye West, the Chicago-based publicist had a thin record of political involvement prior to the 2020 election, when she became a pro-Trump activist and campaign manager for a QAnon-believing candidate who ran to take on John Lewis’s congressional seat after his death.

Coming up with a plan to overturn the 2020 US presidential election the day after the vote. Republican legislators were primed by the soon to be ex-president--they were ready to undermine and circumvent the democratic process as soon as it became apparent that he was likely to lose the election.

'Why a specific text a GOP member sent to Meadows stands out'
... Democratic Rep. Jamie Raskin of Maryland shared a text one lawmaker sent to [Trump chief of staff] Meadows on Nov. 4, 2020 ...
"HERE's an AGRESSIVE STRATEGY: Why can t the states of GA NC PENN and other R controlled state houses declare this is BS (where conflicts and election not called that night) and just send their own electors to vote and have it go to the SCOTUS."
In the interest of accuracy, I've published this exactly as it appeared, and included the abbreviations, typos, and grammatical errors that were part of the original. That said, what the unidentified Republican member was clearly referring to was a corrupt strategy in which GOP state officials in Georgia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and other states with Republican-led legislatures would agree to send pro-Trump slates of electors, regardless of voters' will.

At that point, according to the plan, there'd be a legal dispute, which the conservative-dominated U.S. Supreme Court could try to resolve.

Hmmm, Perry isn't a good speller. :thinks:
CNN Exclusive: Jan 6 investigators believe Nov. 4 text pushing 'strategy' to undermine election came from Rick Perry

Members of the House Select Committee investigating the January 6 attack on the US Capitol believe that former Texas Governor and Trump Energy Secretary Rick Perry was the author of a text message sent to then-White House chief of staff Mark Meadows the day after the 2020 election pushing an "AGRESSIVE (sic) STRATEGY" for three state legislatures to ignore the will of their voters and deliver their states' electors to Donald Trump, three sources familiar with the House Committee investigation tell CNN.

A spokesman for Perry told CNN that the former Energy Secretary denies being the author of the text. Multiple people who know Rick Perry confirmed to CNN that the phone number the committee has associated with that text message is Perry's number.

The cell phone number the text was sent from, obtained from a source knowledgeable about the investigation, appears in databases as being registered to a James Richard Perry of Texas, the former governor's full name.

The number is also associated in a second database as registered to a Department of Energy email address associated with Perry when he was secretary. When told of these facts, the spokesman had no explanation.

No explanation eh? Couldn't even make something up? Whoever these tools are they don't seem that sharp to me.

Scary times when you consider the most recent escalation. What's left for them to do when they inevitably lose again?

Well, like one exchange I heard in the Democrat's impeachment video of the Capital attack.

"That's what we fucking need to have, 30,000 guns up here."

"Next trip."

If that happens, I wonder if Biden would find his inner Herbert Hoover and relive the infamous rout of the unfortunate Bonus Army. These assholes would actually deserve it.

If Biden is going to be cast in the role of Hoover who's going to play the part of the new FDR?

Do Americans really think they have any form of democracy?

I don't guess so, they keep reminding you that their state is a republic.

AOC will be old enough in 2024. I can hear the campaign slogan now: "A Tofurky in every pot and a Prius in every garage." :hehe:
