No need for anyone to be poor with so many YouTube tips showing how to make the big time, with the caveat that greater money means higher risks...

That wouldn't work if your tax rate was lower than 50%. And in our neoliberal capitalist societies our top tax rate is less than 50%. So you'd be losing money by donating to charity as a tax offset, as opposed to just selling the artwork.

Honestly I don't know. Her presentation seems fantastical, but the shadiness of the art world in this regard is well established elsewhere.

I just learned that Tennessee has made homelessness a felony. Technically they've made public camping a felony. --a felony

Consumers may be "causing" high prices by....shopping:
As it turns out, consumers might be the guilty party in the inflation mystery. We've at least been aiding and abetting. "Inflation is coming from demand," says Wolfers.

In spite of inflation, demand hasn't really blinked. Companies have been raising prices and we have been paying them. In fact, in many parts of the economy, spending has been rising right along with prices.

Dumb dumb. Why should a consumer’s ability to save be more plausible or desirable than the ability for businesses to think of more than profits?

When the price of essentials like food, utilities, petrol, and rent etc increase, either due to inflation or gouging, then "spending will rise right along with prices."

Somewhat nicer discount stores having post pandemic problems. Cities. Wal Mart rules the rural areas from smallish towns near the interstate.
High earners migrated away from large cities, taking their disposable income with them
As the pandemic unfolded and many office jobs transitioned to remote work, many workers moved away from big cities – large urban counties experienced a net loss of more than 800,000 residents from July 2020 to July 2021. Many of these regions were already experiencing housing affordability crises, said Connor O’Brien, a research analyst with the Economic Innovation Group.
