That is simply nonsense. It can certainly be interpreted as a call for the abolition of the state of Israel, and the formation of some sort of replacement Palestinian state. Two points - firstly, it is something that I, and most of the world would disagree with, in that the existence of the state of Israel is not up for argument. Secondly, it is so unrealistic as to be laughable - Israel is simply too powerful for that to occur. A just 2 state solution is the only realistic option.

But it is not, in itself, a call for the genocide of Jews.

In the original Arabic, the phrase is "From the water to the water, Palestine will be Arab". Please explain to me how expressing a desire for a Palestine free from Jews is not a call for the genocide of the native Jewish population.

Most of the people (outside radical Muslims etc.) who are currently criticising the actions of the Israeli government in Gaza and the West Bank defend the right of Israel to exist as a state, but they want Palestinians to have the same right, hence the 2 state solution, which is very much a mainstream position in international politics.
