Lucky to find a stone bigger than a pebble by the time Israel has finished with the strip. :crumple:

So Palestnians/Muslims live in the same country as Jews. But in a refugee camp, where rge Jews live in homes and apartments. Sounds like apartheid.

Simply horrible for the civilians on both sides. The politics of this conflict seem meaningless in comparison to the sheer suffering. :(

The 2 million Arabs in Israel live in houses, just like everyone else.

Apartheid is good if it stops them slaughtering each other. Don't keep tigers and chimps in the same cage. Eventually the tigers will end up all dead and there won't be so many chimps at the end of the process. They deserve their own homeland. But that ain't gonna happen in a zoo the size it is so maybe they could go live in Iran? Seems they've more of their religious fundamentalism in common over that way?

I think it's important to not conflate Hamas and other fundamentalist groups with all the people of Palestine.

But besides that, they're not Iranians Crumps, they're Palestinians. It's like saying that if the UK was occupied by a military force that controlled our movements, our access to basic utilities and staples, and occasionally killed us for looking at them the wrong way, then we should just move to the US because we have more in common over that way.

If the UK was occupied by a military force, then that would be a completely different situation to anything in Gaza.

Agreed. My point was that Palestinians are not generic Muslims or generic Arabs as Crumps was implying.

So many atrocities by one particular world view it is beyond a people thing. That aside. It gets cold around there. They'll need tents for their ten or fifteen minutes of fame whether innocent or not. Don't see you discussing their plight or folly, only their sob story. Cause and effect stories going back into the prehistoric past won't glue babies head back on today

The actions of Hamas lead directly to the deaths of Palestinian civilians in the Gaza strip, now and in the next few weeks. They knew that their actions would provoke a vicious response from Israel.
