Voters in Ohio were polled. Some 10% of Republicans will vote for Biden. A similar number will stay home.

Also:Donald Trump lost upwards of 50,000 (20%) voters to Nikki Haley in Ohio’s Republican Primary today.
She’s not even running for president anymore.
He’s going to lose in November.

Biden will lose! Poll says so!
If the race were held today, Trump would be the favorite of 45% of likely voters, in contrast to just 38% saying they would vote for Biden. Trump leads among likely voters who identify as independent, with 43% for Trump and 27% for Biden – but 23% of this group say they would vote for someone else.
705 voters polled. 308 MAGA, 231 Democrats bothered to reply.

Will be a huge problem for the press past 2020 election. Only Foxnews will limp thru second Biden term. "Real" papers will run virtual news. No staff left.

Democrats will be stuck with Comedy Channel news.

Fewer and fewer things about Trump are funny. But it is quite possible that in the course of this year he may start to look a little ridiculous.

Will he need to sell? If he can borrow against his shares, he may be able to meet the bond. Here's some speculation from the NYT:
But because Mr. Trump holds enormous sway over the company with his stake of more than 60 percent, and because his brand is critical to Trump Media’s success, he could try to get around those provisions. Mr. Trump could ask the board of Digital World to waive his restrictions on selling shares before its planned merger with Trump Media goes to a vote.

Or he could wait for Trump Media to start trading before asking its board members — some of whom are also on Digital World’s board — to waive the lockup period. Trump Media’s seven-member board is likely to be amenable to such a request partly because it is expected to include three former members of his administration. His eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., will also join the board.

Mr. Trump could also obtain the board’s blessing to transfer his shares into a trust, or give them to a family member as a gift. By placing them in a trust, Mr. Trump would be able to use the shares as collateral for a loan; a family member, too, could borrow against those shares.

If the shareholder vote goes as expected on Friday, Trump Media will begin trading next week under the stock symbol DJT. Based on Digital World’s current stock price, Mr. Trump’s 79 million shares will be worth more than $3 billion, on top of the $2.6 billion that Forbes estimated Mr. Trump was worth in October.
It would be classic Trump

If Trump does not have the bail amt, his chances of appealing the 400-500 million as excessive are difficult.
CNN:
If Trump doesn’t come up with the money, his options shrink considerably.

“I don’t see any other way he could stop the process from proceeding without going into bankruptcy or getting a bond,” Smith said.

Trump and his team could sell smaller properties as a way to try and satisfy the debt.

“At the end of the day, he’ll do anything before letting Tish James put on a metaphorical padlock on 40 Wall Street,” Harry Litman, a former deputy assistant attorney general, told CNN on Friday.

While the clock is about to run out, some experts question why a grace period was even given.
