In federal law there is no mention of a criminal conviction being a disqualification for the office of president. The authors of the Constitution apparently didn't foresee the need for such. Nor has the Supreme Court established any disqualification.

States may deny the vote to convicted felons (Iowa, Kentucky, Tennessee, Virginia) but a convicted felon can appear as a candidate for president on their ballots.

Conveniently, the US Supreme Court has ruled that Congress does not have the power to add qualifications for elected federal office.

In Federalist No. 60, Hamilton argued that Congress lacks the power to add to the qualifications for elected federal positions. In that paper, Hamilton wrote, "[t]he qualifications of the persons who may choose or be chosen [for a seat in Congress], as has been remarked upon other occasions, are defined and fixed in the Constitution, and are unalterable by the legislature." And Powell v. McCormack (1969) concluded that James "Madison had expressed similar views in [Federalist No. 52], and his arguments at the Convention leave no doubt about his agreement with Hamilton on this issue." Ultimately, Powell largely ratified Hamilton's position.

Ah, but it doesn't matter if such a bill gets passed, the idea is to force the GOP to argue that criminals should be allowed to run for office. If convicted criminals are able to run for office then they should definitely be able to vote as well.
