Said Peter...what you're requesting just isn't my bag
Said Daemon, who's sorry too, but y'see we didn't have no choice
And our hands they are many and we'd be of one voice
We've come all the way from Wigan to get up and state
Our case for survival before it's too late

Manchin said no 5.5 months ago, and now....he says no. "I've done everyhing humanly possible." The inflation is not going to kill the people in W Virginia, the coal jobs are. Just leave. Go to Illinois and be an Amazon driver.

Manchin Xmas present to Biddn a surprize

According to Psaki, Manchin "promised to continue conversations in the days ahead, and to work with us to reach that common ground."
"If his comments on FOX and written statement indicate an end to that effort, they represent a sudden and inexplicable reversal in his position, and a breach of his commitments to the President and the Senator's colleagues in the House and Senate," Psaki said.

So Biden is a one term president --right?

I heard Clinton could run again. Does that mean democrats are struggling to find a candidate with a base that can work for them? It's hard to believe --and nothing against Clinton-- that nobody else has any potential to win for them. --feels too phony :dunno:

I predict a string of one term presidents from now on. Thanks, Trump! You ruined the presidency.

Trump did not ruin the presidency; he just proved how corrupt it is. I agree Jim he became a monster that the corporate world did not expect which is why he only lasted one term. It was nothing to do with the electorate. Never has. It is the last body the corporate world or the 1% would trust.

Never mind preschool, Manchin would never have approved climate money:
The legislation earmarked $555 billion for renewable energy and clean transportation incentives over a decade, the country's largest climate change investment ever. The policies are crucial for President Biden's goal of cutting greenhouse gas emissions 50-52% by 2030, compared to 2005 levels.

Even that goal may not be enough to avoid climate change's most destructive impacts, scientists warn. The U.S. is the second largest emitter of greenhouse gases worldwide, and the planet has already warmed by almost 2 degrees Fahrenheit, or 1.1 degrees Celsius.

Programs in the Build Back Better plan are designed to tackle the country's two largest sources of emissions: transportation and electric power. Homeowners would get incentives to install rooftop solar and insulate their homes to become more energy efficient. Electric car rebates would grow to $12,500 for a middle class family. Clean energy companies would receive tax rebates for manufacturing in the U.S., since China currently produces the majority of solar panels worldwide.

"The stakes for the country are too high," said Manish Bapna, president and chief executive of Natural Resources Defense Council. "Inaction would cripple our economy, as climate costs and dangers rise."

Without legislation, the Biden Administration could rely on new regulations, like limiting power plant emissions through the Environmental Protection Agency or putting tougher mileage standards on cars and trucks, which are expected to be announced shortly. Those kinds of rules can be reversed by future presidents and lack the major financial incentives that Biden was counting on in Build Back Better to ease thecountry into a clean energy transition.
